Wynberg School win

LAHORE, Sept 25: A hat trick by Bredt Lee Winter helped Wynberg Boys School, Cape Town, South Africa edge out Beaconhouse School, Lahore 3-2 in a hockey match at the National Hockey Stadium on Monday.

The winners led the first half 2-0.

Winter scored his first goal through a field attempt in the 22nd minute while he struck his second in the dying minutes of the first half to make it 2-0.

In the second half, Beaconhouse reduced the margin through Mehfooz, who banged home in the 51st minute, converting a penalty-stroke to make it 2-1.

But Winter again increased the lead to 3-1, scoring a field goal in the 59th minute. Ahsan Kaleem made it 3-2 in the 69th minute for the local team but only to lose the match.

The visitors will play Government College, University, Lahore on Tuesday.
