By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, Sept 25: A 58th minute goal by Asif Hameed helped Railways hold Navy to a 2-2 draw in the Pakistan Premier football league match at the Railways Stadium on Monday.

Navy were leading 2-0 at half time.

Midfielder Muhammad Ramzan became the first scorer of Navy in a league match when he struck a field goal in the 9th minute, beating goal keeper Muhammad Tariq.

The seamen doubled the lead through midfielder Nomi Martin Gill in the 35th minute with fierce, low drive in the right corner.

Railways, so far an unbeaten side of the league, staged a recovery and reduced the margin 2-1 when left-winger Mohammad Akram scored a field goal in 50th minute, before Railway's leading scorer Asif struck his third goal of the competition to level the score 2-2.

At Army Stadium, Rawalpindi, hosts earned fifth consecutive win beating Afghan Club, Chaman 2-0.

Army drew first blood through Muzaffar Ali who struck in the 33rd minute. Faheem Riaz made it 2-0 in the 81st minute.
