MARDAN: Tehsil nazim unseated

MARDAN, Sept 25: The convener of Takhtbhai Tehsil Council of Mardan district was unseated as 13 members voted for a no-confidence motion against him here on Monday.

The session was requisitioned by 14 members of the 25-member house.

The secretary of local government, witnessed the proceedings and later he issued a notification, declaring Gohar Ali Khan as removed from the position.

Meanwhile, workers of Pukhtun Students Federation and Jamiat Talaba Islam held a demonstration.
