KARACHI, Sept 25: Nazim Lyari Town Mohammad Fayaz warned on Monday that departmental action would be taken against officials and staff found absent from their duties.
Speaking at a meeting of heads of all departments at the town office, he said he would pay surprise visits to every department for checking the presence of staff personally.
Mr Fayaz also sought recommendations from all departments of the town for increasing income of the town.
Orangi town nazim Abdul Haq said on Monday that steps were being taken to provide better facilities to people, besides provision of daily-use items on cheaper rates during Ramazan.
This he said during his visit to 'Sasta Ramazan Bachat Bazaar', set up by town administration to get people rid of profiteering and ensure provision of quality things on cheap rates.—PPI
