KARACHI: Villages survey

KARACHI, Sept 25: The government has started survey of three fishermen villages in Keamari to be developed as model villages, it is learnt here.

The villages have been identified as Mubarak village near Hubco, Soomar Goth and Abdur Rehman Goth in Hawkesbay.

These villages will be provided all modern facilities, including road network, drinking water and electricity system, to bring about a change in the lifestyle of the fisherfolk.

Gapopat Union Council Nazim Mubarak Sangur said the government has issued survey forms to residents and so far he has received around 300 forms being filled from different housing units from Mubarak village.

According to him, under the model village programme, the existing kachcha houses would be made pucca.
