Razi excels in opening tie

KARACHI, Sept 24: A fine knock of 54 by Razi Mughal guided AKU Faculty & Staff to a four-wicket victory over Ufone in the opening match of the 2nd Ramazan Twenty20 Colour-kit cricket tournament at the AKU Ground on Sunday.

Razi struck six fours as AKU Faculty & Staff achieved by scoring 171 for six on the penultimate ball of the match.

`Earlier, Qazi Qasim hit a stroke-filled 71 with the aid of nine fours and three sixes to help Ufone reach 169 for six.

Former Pakistan captain Zaheer Abbas was the chief guest on the occasion.

UFONE 169-6 in 20 overs (Qazi Qasim 71, Mohammad Zaheer 29; Aman Aziz 2-20); AKU FACULTY & STAFF 171-6 in 19.5 overs (Razi Mughal 54, Mansoor Alam 25, Jahangir Khan 22).
