LAHORE, Sept 24: The Lahore Gymkhana team won the first Royal Palm Inter-team golf championship with three-day aggregate 697 on Sunday.
The winning team comprised Aadil Jehangir, Imran Ahmed and Murad A Khan. Aadil and Imran played a final round of 77 while Murad posted a card of 80.
Islamabad staged a comeback, leaving behind Karachi 'A' team to seize runners-up position with aggregate 699. Taimur Hassan (74), Tariq Mehmood (78) and Abbas Mirza (77) were included in the team.
One stroke behind to Islamabad, the Karachi team secured third position. Ali Hai, Ibrar Ahmed and Ali Sher competed for Karachi.
Ali Hai, however, managed to win the gross event with three-day aggregate 222 (73, 75, 74). One stroke away,Taimur grabbed the second position.
Ami Qin, a Chinese player won the ladies' net event while Samia Javed Ali took the second position.
Tahira Nazir was the winner of the gross event while Jameela Jabbar remained runners-up.
