Lahore Gym lead

LAHORE, Sept 23:Lahore Gymkhana and Karachi 'A' are close rivals at the end of second round of the 1st Royal Palm golf team championship on Saturday.

Though Lahore Gymkhana maintained the top position with aggregate 463, all its four contenders played over-par. Aadil Jehangir and Imran Ahmed posted card of over-par-77, each while Murad Khan gave poorer card of over 80.

At 467, Karachi 'A' are fighting for the main slot. Their Ali Hai and Ali Sher earned a card of 75 each while Abrar Ahmed played a round of 78.

Improvement is apparent in their cards with Ali Hai looking more brilliant than the others. They are up against a confident looking Gymkhana lot and the title-bearing contest promises to be thrilling.

The two days challenge shield competition won by with a net score of 138.
