Train runs over man

RAWALPINDI, Sept 23: A 60-year-old man was killed after being run over by a passenger train near Morgah, while another man was shot and injured in a street robbery on Adiala road on Saturday, police said.

Rehmat Deen was crossing the track near Morgah when the passenger train hit him, killing him on the spot.

Meanwhile, a man was shot and injured by two robbers outside his house in the Saddar Barooni police area. Naveed Azad was heading towards his house when the two gunmen intercepted him and forced him to give up the cash.

The robbery victim said as he had only Rs100, the robbers got annoyed and shot at and injured him.—Staff Reporter
