KARACHI: KU and BU sign deal to enhance cooperation
KARACHI, Sept 23: The University of Karachi has signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Balochistan for enhancing cooperation in different academic fields between the two institutions of higher learning.
The MoU was signed by Vice-Chancellor, University of Karachi, Prof. Dr. Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui andVice Chancellor, Balochistan University, Prof Ghulam Muhammad Taj, says a statement here.
University of Balochistan (UoB) with all its five teaching and tworesearch faculties, 40 departments, five centres, one Advanced Studies Centre, one Institute, one constituent and 56 affiliated colleges and University of Karachi (KU) with its eight faculties, 55 Departments, 17 Centres/ Institutes, and more than 200 affiliated colleges undertake to collaborate and exchange in the areas of mutual interest and other subject to the availability of facilities funding and mutual consent.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Pirzada Qasim said the University of Karachi would provide academic and research assistance where University of Balochistan was weak.
Prof Ghulam Mohammad Taj appreciated the vision of Dr Pirzada Qasim for helping out and improving the weak faculties of his University.—APP
