KARACHI, Sept 22: Jahangir Khan recovered after dropping the opening two games to overpower Muhammad Javed to advance in to last 8 of the pre-qualifying rounds (PQR) of Chief of Naval Staff International Squash Championship at Roshan Khan/Jahangir Khan Squash Complex on Friday.

Second seeded for pre-qualifiers rounds, Jahangir lost the first two games before battling back to carve a hard-fought 3-2 victory.

Besides Jahangir, top seed Shahroze Khan, Kashif Khan, Aqib Hanif, Khalid Atlas, Shoaib Hasan, Shaikh Saqib and Obaid Khan moved into the next round.

Out of eight, four will qualify to appear in the qualifying rounds of championship played from September 24 to 25.

The main rounds of US$25,000 prize money will be played from September 25 to 29.

Five Pakistanis, Shahid Zaman, Mansoor Zaman, Khayal Muhammad, Arshad Iqbal Burki and wild-card entry Farhan Mehboob are placed directly in the main rounds with England, Ireland, Egyptian and Zimbabwean players.
