KARACHI: Five killed in accidents

KARACHI Sept 22: Five persons, including a woman and a minor girl, lost their lives in various incidents on Friday.

A water tanker ran over a car killing three people. Ghulaab Khan, Abdul Wahid Khan, Taimoor Khan, Amanullah, and Akram Khan, all friends hailing from Quetta and guests in the city, received serious injuries when the water-tanker rammed into their car at Allah Wali Chowrangi.

Gulaab Khan, Abdul Wahid Khan, and Taimoor Khan later died when their bodies were recovered from the car.

Police arrested Shehzad Khan, the errant tanker-driver, impounded his vehicle and registered a case against him.

Ameena Noor, 35, a mother of five and a resident of Machchar Colony, died after being hit by a coach while she was crossing Mauripur Road.

The errant driver managed to escape.

Ambreen, a five-year-old daughter of Khalil Ahmed, died after she was hit by a speeding truck in Bhangooriya Goth in Azizabad.
