KARACHI, Sept 22: Three ships to load and offload containers and furnace oil were berthed at QICT and Fotco Terminal during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, two more ships carrying containers and LPG also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy was maintained at 60 per cent as eight ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, sugar seeds, furnace oil and chemicals.

A cargo volume of 86,273 tons comprising 74,526 tons of import and 11,747 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Saudi Abha and Lady Jasmine were expected to leave the port.

Six ships, Germany, Sitamia, Liquid Success, Gas Maluku, Navigator Pluto, Mar Blue, were awaiting their berthing turn at the outer anchorage.
