KG Ramazan Cup offers bumper prize money
KARACHI, Sept 21: A lucrative purse of Rs 500,000 will be on offer in the 21st Karachi Gymkhana AKD Ramzan Cup Twenty20 Cricket Tournament starting on the first of Ramzan-ul-Mubarik, KG Cricket Secretary Abbas Valika announced on Thursday.
He said winner will pick Rs 225,000 and runners-up will collect Rs 115,000 in the 16-team competition. The losing semi-finalists will get Rs.30,000 each.
Last year's winners and runners-up SSGC and Cantt Sports have been placed in pool A and B respectively.
Following are the groups:
Group A: Sui Southern Gas Company, Karachi Gymkhana, Delhi City Gymkhana, Muhammad Hussain CC.
Group B: Cantt Sports, Customs Cricket Academy, Omer CC, M.Tex CC.
Group C: Tapal CC, Sindh Police, PIA Cricket Academy, AKD XI.
Group D: Pak Gymkhana, AOCC, Bed & Bath, Pak PWD. —APP
