Seven-wicket Junaid routs Lahore Ravi

LAHORE, Sept 21: A fine display of fast bowling by Mohammad Junaid who snapped up seven wickets for Abbotabad routed Lahore Ravi in the first innings for 227 despite a century from Babar Manzoor on the first day of the PCB inter-region Under-19 cricket tournament at LCCA ground on Thursday.

Junaid returned with figures of 7-86 in his 24 overs as Lahore team was dismissed in 70.2 overs. Only Babar, with a superb 114 off 173 balls, kept the Abbotabad bowlers at bay, hitting 14 fours and one six.

At stumps Abbotabad were 17 without loss.

In another inter-region match, Faisalabad put together a first innings total of 263 against Quetta at Iqbal Stadium. Opener Ali Waqas (62) and Adnan Munir (61) played well for Faisalabad. For Quetta, medium-pacer Sher Hussain bagged four wickets for 65 runs.
