MELBOURNE, Sept 21: Fast bowling guru Troy Cooley said on Thursday he will continue to encourage pacemen to use reverse swing irrespective of the debate whether it was legal.
Cooley, largely credited as brain behind England's rare Ashes success last year, also indicated that Australian pace attack will have a lot of variety unlike last time around when they had been largely predictable.
“Reverse swing has always been there. At that stage Pakistan and India bowlers were using it and there was thought they were doing something illegal.
“Whether they were or not, as a fast-bowling coach you make sure you want some of that movement,” said Cooley, who was poached by his native Australia following his Ashes success with England.—Agencies
