‘Learn from Tendulkar’

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 21: Sachin Tendulkar's return to cricket and prolific run scoring is a welcome boost for the game and the West Indies would do well to learn from him, captain Brian Lara says.

Tendulkar, 33, made an impact, scoring 141 not out, 12 and 65 in his three matches back.

Lara watched him compile his 65 on Wednesday after being on the receiving end of his 141 in their earlier match, and said that as a fellow batsman it was a joy to behold.

“Sachin is a very good friend of mine and if he scores runs it is an attraction and very good to watch, a sight to behold. I want my guys to learn from a player like that. He is an exceptional talent,” said Lara.—AFP
