Sialkot chamber election

SIALKOT, Sept 21: The ruling Ittehad Founders’ group secured all the 11 seats of the executive committee during the annual elections of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) held here on Thursday.

The Ittehad Founders’ group defeated Democratic Founders’ group, which could not win even a single seat.

The newly-elected members are: Naveed Zafar (Daska), Faisal Rasheed, Muhammad Sarfraz Butt, Ghulam Murtaza, Ziaullah Mirza, Javaid Iqbal Awan, Sheikh Asghar Husain, Hassan Ali Bhatti, Fazal Jilani and Ghulam Mustafa Chaudhry.

Elections for the president, SVP and vice-president will be held on Sept 30.

SECURITY: Gujranwala region additional IG Malik Mohammad Iqbal says the police have chalked out a ‘fool proof’ security plan to ensure peace during Ramazan.
