ISLAMABAD, Sept 21: Robbers snatched cash and valuables from people visiting Shahdarah, police said on Thursday.

The police arrested three of the culprits but failed to recover the valuables except a cellphone.

Faraz Gul, a resident of sector F-8, told the Bhara Kahu police that he along with his friends went to Shahdarah where five gunmen deprived them of Rs18,000 cash, four cellphones and other valuables.

The police arrested three accused - Shabbir, Mumtaz and Nasir - in connection with the robbery and recovered only one cellphone from their possession.

Police are hunting two accomplices of the robbers identified as Imran and Raziq.
