QUETTA, Sept 18: Two FC personnel and three other people suffered injuries when a bomb exploded in Baldia Shopping Plaza on Monday. SSP Qazi Wahid said one person had been arrested in connection with the blast.
The bomb, planted in the ground floor of the shopping plaza in Meezan Chowk, went off at around 6.30pm. The two FC personnel were on duty in the area.
The injured were taken to hospital where one of them was said to be in serious condition.
“It was a home-made device fitted with a timer,” an official of the bomb disposal squad said. All shops and business centres in the area were immediately closed.
