KARACHI, Sept 16: Eight ships carrying DAP fertiliser and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Free Fighter, Malak-1 to unload coal and general cargo and Ocean Highway to unload cars were berthed after the departure of five.

The vessels, which departed included Calvin P.Titus, Matina, Diana, Ocean Highway and Johar, while Malak-1, Carolina, Continent-4, Rising One, Global Prosperity and Oel Aishwarya are due to sail out on Sunday.

A total tonnage of 60,773 tons comprising 9,696 tons of export cargo including 1,609 tons of cement and 51,077 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Galant Wave, Kota Perkasa, Viking Morlin, Norasia Alps and Pu He, with containers, AS-1, with 32,989 tons of DAP fertiliser, Pacific Sun-2 with sugar and Serife with 35,000 tons of coal.

The following vessels are due on Monday: Gulf Bridge, with containers, Shipping Land-6 with coal, Panthera and Cosmic Leader with general cargo.
