DUSHANBE, Sept 15: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Iranian Vice-President Ali Saidu reviewed the gas pipeline project at a meeting held on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit on Friday.
The two agreed on the early conclusion of the project.
Mr Aziz said Pakistan considered Iran an important neighbour and friend and wanted to expand trade and economic relations with it.
They also discussed political and diplomatic ties and measures to deepen the bilateral cooperation.
Both the leaders agreed that talks on the Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project should be concluded quickly. They hoped that the issue of pricing would also be finalised at the earliest.—PPI
