Complainant turns out to be family’s murderer

By Our Correspondent

OKARA, Sept 15: The complainant in the murder case of five of his family members is turned out to be the actual killer. B-Division SHO Malik Tariq Awan said that accused Rashid had served drugged tea to his father Inshaq, mother Sughran Bibi, grandmother Sakina Bibi, brothers Arshad and Zahid about a five weeks back. After they fainted, the accused slaughtered all of them with a sharp-edged weapon. To distract the police, the accused also injured himself, putting the blame on his relatives Jamil and others as they had some divorce dispute with the family of the accused.

The SHO said that during investigation, the complainant was found suspicious and ultimately he accepted his crime. He was arrested and sent to jail after the registration of a murder case against him.

The accused told reporters in the lock-up that he had committed the ghastly act due to poverty and joblessness.

Further investigation is under way.
