KARACHI: 42 vehicles, 36 cellphones snatched

KARACHI, Sept 15: At least 42 vehicles and 36 cell phones were taken away by bandits in different parts of the city on Friday.

Police said nine cars were snatched at gunpoint and 14 were stolen.

Similarly, five motorcycles were snatched by bandits and 14 motorcycles were stolen on Friday.

Police said 11 cell phones were snatched at gunpoint and 21 were stolen while four were reported missing.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Car Lifting Cell on Friday claimed recovery of six four-wheelers, nine two-wheelers and one tri-wheeler in successful raids conducted in the city during the last 24 hours, adds PPI.

The number of recovered cars are: ABH-343, (Suzuki Mehran) GL-5324 (Suzuki High Roof), ALF-428 (Suzuki Caltus) and ALS-299 (Suzuki Alto).

Recovered motorcycles bear these following numbers: KAK-6926 (Honda 70), KBS-5696 (Laser), KCX-66 (Yamaha 100), RNL-6698 (Honda 125), KAX-9683 (Hero 70), KAQ-447 (Honda 70), KBL-9684 (Honda 125) and BRD-1013 (Honda 70) and D-50923.
