HYDERABAD: New curriculum recommended


HYDERABAD, Sept 15: The 7th meeting of the board of Science Faculty, University of Sindh, on Thursday recommended for approval revised curriculum for four year B.S. programme in a number of disciplines.

The disciplines included Computer Science, Zoology, Fresh Water Biology and Fisheries, Physics, M Phil in Mathematics, Pure and Applied Geology, Botany and MS/M Phil in Mathematics and Computer Sciences.

The meeting also recommended for approval modified syllabus of MSc previous and final in Biochemistry, M Phil in Environmental Sciences, Statistics, Information Technology and Zoology.

The meeting endorsed the recommendations of the board of the Institute of Information Technology on revised course of MSc Telemedicine, E-Health and MIT degree programme under evening programme. The recommendation would now go before the academic council for final approval.

Sindh University Vice-Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui urged the scientists to bring about healthy changes in the society with the help of applied sciences.—Bureau
