LANDI KOTAL, Sept 14: Border guards of Pakistan and Afghanistan scuffled at Torkham on Thursday, leading to suspension of all sorts of cross-border traffic for more than an hour, officials and witnesses said.

Officials said the Khasadar Force stopped an Afghan family from entering Pakistan which triggered an exchange of harsh words between the border guards, causing the scuffle. A Pakistan official said the government had recently formulated a policy to restrict the entry of Afghan families into the country.
