GILGIT, Sept 13: An amount of Rs28 million has been earmarked for a rehabilitation centre for the disabled in Hunza, official sources said on Wednesday. The special people would be imparted skill development training to enable them to earn their livelihood, they said.

ANTI-POLIO DRIVE: Like in other parts of the country, a three-day door-to-door polio eradication campaign is in progress in all districts of Northern Areas, health authorities said.

As many as 185,873 children of below five years of age were being administered polio drops to save them from the crippling disease, the sources told APP.

The sources said that some 3026 teams had been constituted to carry out this task in the six districts of NAs.
