Posts of clerks upgraded

LAHORE, Sept 12: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has approved upgrading of the posts of clerks working in federal and provincial government departments, autonomous bodies and district governments.

The prime minister has approved upgrading of the posts of junior clerks from BPS-5 to BPS-7, senior clerks from BPS-7 to BPS-9, accounts clerks from BPS-9 to BPS-1, asistants from BPS-11 to BPS-14 and superintendents from BPS-16 to BPS-17, according to a press release issued by the All Pakistan Clerks Association issued here on Tuesday.

Punjab APCA President Muhammad Afzal thanked the prime minister for accepting the demand of the association for increasing the pay and allowances of clerks.
