Ration for rain victims

HYDERABAD, Sept 12: The cabinet division has arranged 10,000 ration packets for rain-affected people in Hyderabad district under the prime minister’s directives. Additional Relief Commissioner of Sindh Muneer Ahmed Memon said that the packets would be delivered to the Pakistan Army by the Utility Stores Corporation for distribution among the people.

CALAMITY-HIT AREAS: The senior member of the Sindh Board of Revenue, Syed Anwar Haider, has declared four talukas as calamity-hit areas because of heavy rains and damage to public and private property and crops.

According to a handout issued here on Tuesday, Latifabad and Qasimabad talukas of the Hyderabad district, Thatta taluka and Jhando Mari taluka of Tando Allahyar district have been declared calamity-hit areas.
