Rail traffic disrupted

By Our Correspondent

SAHIWAL, Sept 10: Rail traffic on the main line remained suspended for several hours after high-tension overhead electricity wire fell on the tracks near the local railway station.

Up and down-country trains, already behind schedule because of the collapse on a bridge between Hyderabad and Karachi, were halted at different stations enroute.

Railway officials in Lahore said it was not a serious problem and only those trains being pulled by electric engines on the Lahore-Khenewal sections were affected.
