Karachi Urban gain three points


KARACHI, Sept 9: The three-day PCB National Inter-region Under-19 Cricket Championship match between Karachi Urban and Hyderabad ended in a draw at PCB Academy ground on Saturday with the local side gaining three points for the first innings lead.

Ahmed Iqbal cracked an unbeaten 63 with four boundaries, Fazal Subhan hit 65 with eight fours and Zeeshan Rahim scored 55 with two sixes as Karachi Urban piled up 265 for six declared.

Trailing by 125 runs, Hyderabad in their second innings reached 116 for four with Liaquat Ali, hitting four fours and two sixes in an undefeated 45.

Karachi Urban captain and paceman Zaheer Abbas followed his three for 53 in the first innings, with four for 29 in the second to end with match haul of seven for 82.

HYDERABAD 140 (Noor Mohammad 66; Osama Basharat 4-28) and 116-4 (Liaquat Ali 45, Zeeshan Gul 27 not out; Zaheer Abbas 4-29);

KARACHI URBAN 265-6 declared (Fazal Subhan 65, Ahmed Iqbal 63 not out, Zeeshan Rahim 55; Azeem Ghuman 2-53).
