KARACHI, Sept 9: Nomi Qamar has staged a comeback in the four-member Pakistan team named for Davis Cup Asia Oceania Zone relegation round two being played against China at Beijing from Sept 22 to 24.

Khwaja Saeed Hai, who heads the PTF selection committee, announced the squad at the end of the six-day trials which concluded at Islamabad on Saturday.

Nomi who last represented the country at the Islamic Games in Saudi Arabia has made his entry in the team at the expense of Jalil Khan who played last Davis Cup tie against India.

Aisam and Aqeel were exempted from the trials.

Team: Aisam–ul-Haq Qureshi, Aqeel Khan, Asim Shafik and Nomi Qamar.
