‘Wifaq Bachao’ camp

By Our Correspondent

LAHORE, Sept 9: ARD leaders said here on Saturday that the murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti has put the existence of federation at stake. They were speaking at the ‘Wifaq Bachao’ (save the federation) camp organised by the ARD Lawyers Coordination Committee outside the Lahore High Court. Punjab PPP president Qasim Zia, PML-N Lawyers Forum president Khwaja Mahmood Ahmad, People’s Lawyers Forum’s Punjab president Raja Zulqarnain, Lahore High Court Bar Association finance secretary Rabiyya Bajwa, former LHCBA president Hafiz Abdul Rehman Ansari and others visited the daylong camp to show solidarity with ARD committee president Syed Manzoor Gilani and others.

The ARD leaders called for a murder case to be registered against the rulers and punishment to those responsible for Akbar Bugti’s murder.

They also pleaded for a judicial commission to probe into the death of Nawab Akbar Bugti.

They said the ARD stood behind their Baloch brethren in their hour of trial in the wake of a continuing military operation.

They urged the government to step down.
