‘Govt creating rift between provinces’

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, Sept 8: Members of National Assembly belonging to the PPP Parliamentarians have accused the government and intelligence agencies of conspiring to create a rift between the people of Punjab and Balochistan.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday after expressing condolence with Jamil Bugti and Talal Bugti over the death of their father Nawab Akbar Bugti, the MNAs called upon the government to end military operation in Balochistan. They said the government should exhume the body of the JWP chief under the supervision of the international commission, as demanded by his family.

The MNAs included Aitezaz Ehsan, Syed Khursheed Ali Shah, Sherry Rehman, Naveed Qamar, Khalid Iqbal Memon, Ejaz Khan Jakhrani and Qamar Zaman.

Mr Aitezaz contradicted the general impression that Punjab was usurping the rights of smaller provinces, particularly of Balochistan.
