KARACHI, Sept 8: The Pakistan Cricket Board on Friday refused to play a four-day first-class match in the holy month of Ramazan in India. The match was scheduled to be played between domestic champion teams of both the countries — Sialkot and Uttar Pradesh — at Dharmasala from Sept 27 and the Indian board wanted to reschedule it in October as some of their players were busy playing in Malaysia.
A PCB official said it would be difficult for players to participate in the match in Ramazan and therefore the offer was turned down.
“We have suggested to reschedule the match before Ramazan,'' the official clarified.—PPI
