Tribute paid to Agha Shahi

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Sept 8: Chairman Pakistan Tehreeke Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan paid rich tribute to Agha Shahi. In his condolence message to the bereaved family, Mr Khan said that while serving the country in different capacities, Mr Shahi made an immense contribution in building Pakistan‘s good relations with the outer world.

PTI chief stated that Mr Shahi‘s firm grasp on international affairs made him an outstanding diplomat, a successful ambassador and an exceedingly good representative of Pakistan to the UN.

“His death is not a personal loss of Pakistan, but the world at large has lost an intellectual and a world class diplomat who preferred peace on war and who believed in friendship without compromising on vital interests of his country,” he added.

PPI ADDS: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Friday visited the residence of late Aga Shahi and offered condolences for the departed soul.

He said that Mr Shahi was an icon in the world of diplomacy and made invaluable contributions in the making of the country’s foreign policy at crucial junctures.

Mr Aziz said he would be long remembered for his illustrious services to the country.
