KARACHI, Sept 7: After failing to meet the Aug 15 deadline for submission of entries by number, the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) has asked national federations to submit ‘entries by name’ (individual and team events) to them before Sept 20 so that the same should reach Doha Asian Games Organizing Committee (DAGOC) in time before Oct 1.

According to information available here, Pakistan was among 14 countries who failed to meet the previous deadline. The other nations were Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Iran, Iraq, Nepal, Maldives, Jordon, Kuwait, KSA, Lebanon, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Earlier, Pakistan also delayed in forwarding accreditation forms which were due to reach DAGOC on Aug 1. These forms are for the bunch of expected athletes so that the names are received in the system of DAGOC.

The POA has also asked the national federations to hold open trials and complete their selection prior to Sept 20.
