Port Qasim

KARACHI, Sept 6: Three ships to load and offload containers and edible oil were berthed at the QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, four more ships carrying containers, diesel oil and LPG also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy stood at 70 per cent as eight ships, Nedlloyd Muscat, Acx Plumeria, Mar Blue, Cumbria, Stolt Avenir, Bum Ju, Suzanne and Rich Duchess, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, seeds, edible oil and crude oil.

A cargo volume of 72,206 tons comprising 49,314 tons of import and 22,892 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Stolt Avenire, Rich Duchess and Acx Plumeia left the port while Suzanne and Nedlloyd Muscat were due to depart.
