KARACHI, Sept 6: Seven ships carrying coal, steel and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Corin Thaikos, APL Osaka, Al-Ihsaa, to unload and load containers, Heng Fu, to offload and load general cargo and Central Park to offload chemicals.

Three ships, Iran Sattari, Ever Guide and Johar departed on Wednesday, while APL Osaka, Hyundai Highway, Rickmers Seoul and Heng Fu are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 86,895 tons comprising 10,709 tons of export cargo including 1,225 tons of rice and 4,080 tons of cement and 76,186 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Al-Farabi, to load 22,000 tons of molasses, Orient Independence, Eric G.Gibson, MOL Asante and United Prosperity, with containers, Marylisa-V, with 42,001 tons of coal, and Voc Rose, with 40,585 tons of steel.
