SUKKUR, Sept 5: Activists of the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf took out a procession and staged a sit-in in Jacobabad on Tuesday in protest against the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti.
Reports reaching here said the activists led by Mir Akram Khan Rind and Mohammad Ramzan took to the streets and marched on the main roads of the city. They reached the DCO Chowk and staged a sit-in for half an hour.
Later, they staged a sit-in in front of the local press club and at the Quaid-i-Azam Chowk for an hour.
Speaking to protesters, the leaders of the party condemned what they called the brutal murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti and described it as a target killing.
They said Nawab Bugti had been a patriotic Pakistani and had always fought for the just rights of Baloch people.
They said army rulers had resorted to use of force instead of implementing the recommendations of the parliamentary committee on Balochistan, which had resulted into the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti.
They condemned the government for not allowing the family members to participate in the funeral and burial of Nawab Bugti and said the restriction had further sparked anger.
