KARACHI: Governor for more private universities


KARACHI, Sept 4: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan on Monday said that the Sindh government would encourage setting up of more quality private universities in the province.

Talking to members of the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee, he said that private varsities had improved their performance a lot due to the efforts of the committee.

Dr Ibad said that the private sector would be given incentives to set up more universities and in this regard the concept of public-private partnership would be further boosted.

The committee members presented two-year performance report of the committee to the governor. Sindh Education Secretary and the representative of Higher Education Commission (HEC) were also present.—PPI
