DADU/HYDERABAD, Sept 1: A Pakistan Air Force jet fighter crashed near a village in taluka Thana Bula Khan on Thursday night, killing the pilot. The Jamshoro district police and army personnel recovered the pilot’s body, Faisal Khan, on Friday morning.

DPO Jamshoro, Pir Fareed Jan Sarhandi told reporters that the pilot’s body had been taken to Karachi. The aircraft, said to be Chinese-made F-7, was on a routine training flight. It had taken off from the Masroor base in Karachi.

A PAF official said: “An investigation has been ordered by the air headquarters. The wreckage will be removed after the completion of on-site investigation.”

An ISPR official said a board had been formed to probe into the crash.
