NAWABSHAH, Aug 31: The district nazim of Nawabshah, Ms Faryal Talpur, has directed the District Coordination Officer to give preference to local people while recruiting BPS-1 to four employees in the education department.

In a letter addressed to the DCO and the EDO education on Thursday, she referred to the Sindh education department letter No. SO(G)Misc/2/33/2006, dated August 26, 2006 regarding the criteria of recruitment.

The letter referred the powers of the district nazim conferred upon under section 18(I)(g)(o) of the Sindh Local Government Ordinance advising the DCO, Ahmed Bux Khokhar, to strictly follow the criteria which maintained that the candidate belonging to village/deh or union council be given preference and be accommodated at the place where the institution was located and the recommendations of stakeholders/community leader and landlord, who had donated land for raising infrastructure or provided shelter in village for institution be given preference and employment opportunity.

It has further been mentioned that the recruitment belonging to other villages or UCs could hardly be adjusted being not accepted by locals.

It has also been directed that compliance of instruction be made and report may be submitted without fail.
