KARACHI, Aug 30: Two ships carrying containers and edible oil were berthed at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday. Meanwhile, three more vessels with containers and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy maintained at 70 per cent as seven ships, Maersk Peter Head, Nedlloyd Muscat, Mar Blue, Ikan Selver, Baltic Trader, Warbah and Chemroad Wing, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, edible oil, diesel oil and chemicals.

A cargo volume of 88,385 tons comprising 52,693 tons of import and 35,693 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Ocean Venture, Camille and Nedlloyd Muscat left the port while Maersk Peter Head, Ikan Selver, Warbah and Chemroad were due to depart.
