FIFA official arrives

LAHORE, Aug 28: FIFA coaching instructor Holger Obermann from Germany arrived on Monday to hold “football for hope“ coaching clinics in three cities which were badly affected by last year’s Oct 8 earthquake in Pakistan.

The cities are Muzaffarabad, Islamabad and Abottabad. Besides, a similar course will also be held in Lahore.

The international game's governing body FIFA and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) have promised US$500,000 and US$200,000 respectively to build academies and technical centers in the earthquake affected areas.

The 64-yard old coach Holger has has trained footballers in more than 23 countries including Malaysia, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
