KARACHI, Aug 26: The Sindh High Court, recalling its previous order, stayed the demolition operation of four additional floors of a multi-storey building in Clifton Block-2 till further orders.
The order came on an application filed by owner of the Green Belt Residency against demolition action by the KBCA on court directives.
The court on Aug 22 had ordered demolition of four additional floors of building on a petition filed by an NGO.
SHC's division bench, comprising Justice Mushir Alam and Justice Munib Ahmed Khan, issuing notice to KBCA and the petitioner NGO directed both the parties to maintain status quo till the next date of hearing.—PPI
