SFP office bearers

LAHORE, Aug 25: Mohammad Saleem Khan (Sindh) and Haider Khan Lehri (Balochistan) were elected as president and secretary of the Softball Federation of Pakistan after two groups merged to become one federation on Friday.

Two groups were formed after softball was separated from baseball on the instructions of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), early this year.

President Saleem said after the merger, the game would be promoted in the country in much better way.

President: Muhammad Saleem Khan (Sindh); Senior vice president: Khalid Iqbal Mehmood (Wapda); Vice-presidents: Talat Khurshid (HEC), Rozina Mufti (NWFP); Dr. Sabiha Khurram (Punjab); Dr Waqar Kazmi (Sindh); Mrs Tehseen Cheema (Women Rep); Ramzan Kasuri (Islamabad); Muhammad Amin Khan (NWFP); Miss Gul Naz (NWFP). Secretary: Haider Khan Lehri (Balochistan); Associate secretaries: Hamid Sultan (Punjab), Sabir Yaqoob (Sindh). Finance secretary: Asif Iqbal Khan (Punjab).

Executive body: Saleem Haider (Police), Fazale Malik (NWFP); Nasim Khan, Ms Fahmeeda Habib (Balochistan), Dr Ijaz Siddiqui (PCA); Asmat Ullah Khan Niazi (PTC), Ahmed Raza (PYC), Malik Murtaza (PUA); Ms Aisha Iram, Ms Rahim Bibi (NWFP).
