Hafiz Saeed: rest house declared sub-jail

SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 25: The Canal Rest House located on Sargodha Road where Jamaatul Daawa amir Hafiz Saeed has been detained is declared sub-jail. He was brought to the rest house from his residence in Johar Town, Lahore, on Thursday evening.

A police contingent has also been deployed at the rest house and the mobile phone service suspended.

His arrest has created a chaos and disappointment among Daawa activists throughout the country.

Earlier, Hafiz Saeed was under house rest at his residence in Johar Town, Lahore.

RELEASED: Additional district and sessions judge Syed Maroof Ali Shah released 24 prisoners involved in petty cases on Friday.

The judge also inspected various barracks and listen to the grievances and complaints faced by the prisoners. He directed the jail authorities to take steps to provide maximum relief to the inmates.
