ISLAMABAD, Aug 25: Punjab Professors and Lecturers Association Rawalpindi division has condemned the highhandedness of Sindh police with teachers who were protesting against the ban on teachers’ union activities in the province.
The association has reminded prime minister, Shaukat Aziz, his promises he made to the country’s teachers on ‘Salam Teachers Day’ and solves the issue.
Association’s leaders Mohammad Ilyas Qureshi and Rauf Ahmed Shah demanded that the provincial education minister should withdraw the ban on the union activities.
They warned that behaviour of the provincial government would affect the education system. Brutal polices have put careers of teachers in jeopardy and the future of the students in danger, the added.
