GHALNAI, (Mohmand Agency), Aug 25: A young man and a woman were killed and their bodies were set on fire by some people here on Thursday night. The authorities could not identify the deceased as the bodies were burnt beyond recognition and buried them in a local graveyard.

Tehsildar Abdur Rasheed, told Dawn that at about 10pm on Thursday night at about a truck driver spotted some persons putting something on fire near Nahqai checkpost.

He reported it to the officials at the check post who rushed to the site.

The officials found out that unidentified persons had put two bodies on fire. They extinguished the fire and informed their officers about the incident. Mr Rasheed said the man appeared to be 20-year-old and the woman was about 17.
